About the job
In the role of Account Manager, you will enter a company in a strong growth phase and there will be great development opportunities. We work team-based and you will be an important part of continuing to develop our company and bring in more customers. As an Account Manager you will:
Demo and sell our platform to potential customers
Make needs analysis and produce lists of prospects
Be responsible for prospects and drive sales cycles
Identify and qualify potential leads via phone calls, emails, and social media, assessing their needs, budget, and purchasing timelines
Be responsible for customers with your colleagues as a team
Attend seminars, network events and various customer events
Work together with colleagues from our advisory business and customer success to enable growth across all of Position Green Group
Be prepared to work with all existing tasks in an entrepreneurial and fast-growing company
This position will be based in our Houston, Austin or New York office, with an option to work remotely when it fits you and your team’s schedule. However, the expectation is 3 days in the office per week to facilitate team collaboration.
Your background and attitude
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have 3-5 years of direct sales experience, including developing customer relationships and B2B sales, especially within ESG SaaS. Since you will play a key part in our US market entry, thorough knowledge of the US ESG reporting and competitive landscape is preferred. You should have a Bachelors’ degree within a relevant field (such as business, economics, environmental studies or similar), along with a commitment to sustainability issues. However, for candidates with more than 5 years of direct sales experience, a directly applicable academic degree is not a requirement.
You are used to running your own sales processes from start to finish and have a thorough understanding of what it takes to close a deal.
As a person, you have a positive attitude, you are curious and have a sense of humor. You are a doer who thrives both in an intensive customer meeting and working methodically with new customer processing. You look forward to working in a growing team that triggers each other to great deeds and are driven by contributing to a positive change.
Planned start for the role is July 2024, or alternatively as agreed upon.

You’ll get fair compensation and benefits, including:
Competitive compensation consisting of a fixed salary element as well as a generous commission with no cap. Expected base salary range for the fixed element will be $55 000 - $110 000 based on experience.
