About the job
In the role of Junior Account Executive, you will enter a company in a strong growth phase and there will be great development opportunities. We work team-based and you will be an important part of continuing to develop our company and bring in more customers. As an Junior Account Executive you will:
Identify and qualify potential leads via phone calls, emails, and social media, assessing their needs, budget, and purchasing timelines
Prepare prospects for engagement with the rest of the sales team to convert them into satisfied customers
Respond to outbound and inbound leads promptly
Collaborate with the rest of the sales team to schedule meetings and smoothly transfer qualified leads
Continuously analyze and enhance outreach strategies to optimize results
Be prepared to work with all existing tasks in an entrepreneurial and fast-growing company environment
Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to deal with rejection
Learn about our customers and stay apprised of the evolving ESG reporting landscape
We prefer candidates who are able to collaborate in person with colleagues based out of hub cities of Houston, Austin and New York. However, virtual candidates based in the US will be considered as well. Candidates will work based on CST or EST hours to ensure suitable collaboration with European colleagues. If not based out of our hub cities, you will be expected to visit colleagues on a quarterly basis (minimum) to facilitate relationship building and collaboration. The planned start for the role is as soon as feasible.
Your background and attitude
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
Minimum requirements:
Post-secondary education in a relevant field or 3 years of equivalent work experience
Experience of communicating with customers via phone call
Proven business development success through effective use of core prospection tools: CRM, LinkedIn, and emailing tools
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice to have experience:
Experience from working in a sales development representative or similar role
Sustainability knowledge and curiosity, especially as it relates to the US market
Previous experience of working in Hubspot
Familiarity with SaaS
