About the job
In the role of Account Executive, you will enter a company in a strong growth phase and there will be great development opportunities. We work in a collaborative environment where we are defining the future of the US business, building off the strengths of Position Green as an award-winning, leading European sustainability software company.
As an Account Executive you will:
- Demo and sell our platform to potential customers
- Make needs analysis and produce lists of prospects
- Foster prospect relationships and drive sales cycles
- Identify and qualify potential leads via phone calls, emails, and social media, assessing their needs, budget, and purchasing timelines
- Work together with colleagues from our advisory business and customer success to enable growth across all of Position Green Group
- Tackle tasks in an entrepreneurial manner
- Share best practices, collaborate and define the future while running own sales processes
- Represent the company at seminars, network events and various customer events
We prefer candidates who are able to collaborate in person with colleagues based out of hub cities of Houston and New York. However, we will consider exceptional virtual candidates based in the US. Candidates will work based on CST or EST hours to ensure suitable collaboration with European colleagues. If not based out of our hub cities, you will be expected to visit colleagues on a quarterly basis (minimum) to facilitate relationship building and collaboration. The planned start for the role is March 2025, or alternatively as agreed upon.
Skills you will need to bring
- 3-5 years of full cycle sales at a fast growing software company, comfortable owning your own sales processes from start to finish
- Ability to manage and navigate sales cycles averaging 3-9 months with contract values starting at 5 figures upwards
- A track record of high achievement in current and previous roles hitting or exceeding quotas
- Phenomenally strong communication skills in all forms of communications
- Curiosity about sustainability and passion for solving related business problems
- Engaging and compelling presentation skills
Nice To Haves
- You've been an early sales hire at a fast growing start up before
- New logo acquisition sales experience
- Direct sales experience in sustainability software
- Academic background in sustainability and/or environmental science

You’ll get fair compensation and benefits, including:
- Competitive compensation consisting of a fixed salary element as well as a generous commission with no cap. Expected base salary range for the fixed element will be $80 000 - $110 000 based on experience.
- The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided.
