Position Green has 700+ clients with more than 350 employees located
across 10 locations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the US, Benelux and the UK. We are expanding our US advisory team, primarily supporting US customers with some exposure to European clients, and are looking for talented new team members to join us. You will become a pivotal member of our advisory team, working alongside bright minded colleagues with different areas of expertise and backgrounds. As our new team member, you will play a key role in supporting Position Green’s growth while getting the best out of working in a small team with a startup spirit. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will play a key role in creating and developing long-term client relationships, coaching more junior team members and leading projects. You will have a client-facing role and lead specialist teams in client engagements across various industry sectors. In the role as Senior Manager, you are expected to grow the advisory business through sales and business development initiatives towards both new and existing clients, in close collaboration with the senior leadership team and our software sales team. Identifying and leveraging synergies across Position Green’s various service offerings is also a key task, including delivering on integrated projects that include both advisory services and tech solutions.

As Position Green is in a scale-up phase, things are changing fast and you will be key for further developing and implementing more effective processes and structures that ensure good resource allocation, superior client and project management, and making sure that we build for sustainable growth.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

While we welcome applications from talented candidates with different backgrounds and levels of experience, preferably you have:

• Approximately 8+ years of experience from sustainability-focused consulting on a strategic level

• Solid understanding of the consulting process in combination with consulting techniques in the areas of strategy formulation, market research, operations, efficiency improvement, project management, etc.

• Experience working with sustainability-related regulations and standards across the US, UK and EU such as CSRD, IFRS and TCFD

• Experience in working with the GHG Protocol is crucial and decarbonization strategies is advantageous

• A MSc degree within a relevant field such as finance, business economics, development studies or sustainability

• Experience in business development, client management and successful project execution

• Proficiency in leveraging sustainability data management platforms to underpin consulting activities is beneficial

• Leadership skills and previous experience in managing diverse project teams

• Consulting experience from several different industrial segments is considered an advantage

LOCATION

This position can be based in either our New York or Houston offices. However, the right candidate can also work remotely with periodic visits to our offices and/or client sites as required.

Competitive compensation consisting of a fixed salary element of $130 000 - $160 000 based on experience.
